LOS GATOS, Calif., May 9, 2026 – The May issue of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology (JAAD, (026 May;94(5):1433)) includes, in the Highlights section, a discussion by Dr. Jonathan Kantor regarding the recent publication in JAAD International (2026;24:279286) of a pivotal prospective clinical trial for the Orlucent® Skin Fluorescent Imaging (SFI) System. In Dr. Kantor’s monthly column for JAAD, he mentions the superior performance of SFI as compared to dermoscopy in distinguishing between low- and high-risk lesions, and referred to the “potential benefits of fluorescence imaging over approaches that are frequently employed in specialized pigmented lesion clinics”.
